Dallas..Karen ties the knot (almost)

So this past Saturday I went up to the Dallas area to attend my very very amazing and special friend Karen's wedding shower. Yes, wedding showers are for girls. This was a couples shower. Of course I didn't bring a date. Who do you think I am? I am loner, a rebel....anyways..

It was so good to see Karen right before she gets married (this Saturday in Mexico). I got to meet her fiance and I did approve. Which is a really good thing. He is really nice to her and also very nice to her daughter, Blakely. So far, me and this guy will never have any problems.

I have known Karen for 8 or 9 years now. We seriously dated for a year and half in 2002. We shared a lot of great memories and remained close even after our romantic relationship fell to dust. She is a true friend and I can always count on her for anything. Advice, opinion, help, etc. We might not always agree on everything, but we are supportive of each other no matter what. That to me is what a good friend is. Karen knows more about me then anybody else that reads this stupid thing. I also get really really sad when I say goodbye to Karen. I don't know what it is. Maybe it's the fact that I care so much for her and Blakely. They hold a special part in my heart. It's weird!

Anyways...Karen (she reads this blog) will be my friend till the end. I am so happy for her. She looked amazing on Saturday! Much different from the last time I saw her. Not that she looked bad at all, but she has lost a lot of weight since then. She was glowing. Good things are happening to this woman. Beautiful baby and a great soon to be husband. She deserves it! I am really happy she is happy.

Karen and I

Blakely has grown up so so fast. She is such a cutie and so much fun to observe. When I have children, I want them to be exactly like this one. Well behaved. Cute. Happy. Likes to dance and sing! I consider Blakely my friend now. Karen thinks I would be the Godfather if I/they did that sort of thing. I would accept. Like I would turn this little girl down for anything?!

Karen and I's song..back in the day!

CONGRATS RAGE KAGE!
