While I was back in Illinois last weekend, my brother called to inform me of the sad news of the passing of Peter Steele. Peter Steele is the lead singer of Type O Negative. Probably my # 1 Goth Metal band of all time. I was lucky enough to see Type O in concert many moons ago. Stood next to the hottest goth chick that you could imagine. The show was great and Peter was a funny guy. Very talented and very big. Type O Negative was very underrated. They had a ton of great songs. Great lyrics. Great feel for that genre.
It's very sad that he is gone. No more Type O. But their music will live on through the CDs I own and played out through my iPod for years to come. Especially around the month of October and Hallows Eve.
RIP Peter Steele.
