Dallas Recap

Happy Monday.

This past weekend was my Dallas trip. I had a great time. The only real big problem I had was forgetting the UFC 103 tickets at my house and realizing that when I was half way to Dallas (90 min/Waco, TX). So we basically had to add an additional 3 hrs to the drive. No fun.

Friday we were able to catch the last half of the Q&A with a big named fighter and then watched the weigh-ins. That night, Karen came by our hotel and we went out to dinner. I also saw Karen Saturday for lunch and we were graced by the presence of her super adorable baby Blakely. It was great to see Karen. She knows me pretty well and I know her pretty well. That is neat IMO.

Saturday night was the fights. 13 fights in all. The guy I blogged about in the last post, Cro Cop, lost. It was sad. It might be his last fight ever. He is old and can't hang with the new guys.

The fights ended around 11:15 after a 1st round knockout in the main event.

We got stuck in the parking lot for about 45 minutes and didn't make it back home until about 3 AM.

All in all, it was a great time. Great to get away from the city I live in. Little adventures are fun. I need more of those.

If you want to see more pics from this weekend. Check out facebook within the next week or so.
