Sometimes I wish I was a kid again. No worries, no stress. Those lucky mofo's! All you had to do is learn the basics and meet some friends and play the rest of the time. I took times like that for granted. I was talking to a co-worker yesterday about how our company should have a mandatory recess, length time 30 min. I think it would give everyone time to say hi to each other and take a break from being cooped up in your office. Even get some monkey bars or a swing set out there.
Anyways, back to kids. I think they are great. Especially before teen years. Everything is so new and interesting to them. Today, people wouldn't get excited about watching a caterpillar turn into a butterfly. If you are young, that is unbelievable and probably one of the coolest things ever.
I love watching documentaries about them. Sunday mornings I watch this show called "Kindergarten" on HBO. The kids are so awesome and humorous. They start learning the basics, including developing social skills. They start getting their own unique personalities. The curiosity of everything gets their minds bigger.
Why don't adults show so much enthusiasm anymore? Why doesn't a bird flying over your head or a large full moon get people excited? Is that we are just so use to everything that nothing is that impressive anymore.
Growing up kind of stinks. It's part of life, but I think it is healthy to still hold learning traits just as much now as you did when you were a child.
