Brent Does Dallas

Tomorrow I venture off to Dallas for the day.

Why the Dallas trip? Well let me tell you.

Reason # 1
One of my best friends, Rage Kage, recently had a beautiful baby and I have yet to see another great creation from our dear Lord and Savior. It will be really weird. I haven't seen Rage Kage in about 2 hours, maybe longer. We both are still close but are living in 2 different worlds. We have different lives now. It's crazy, but that is life. It will be fun to catch up in person.

I am never around babies. A little nervous about that. I am good with kids. I can be funny and get on their level. How can one get on a babies level? Make baby noises? It will be interesting. I just don't want to scare the little one.

All in all it will be great to see Rage Kage and her new edition to her family.

Reason # 2
Dre Day: Don't mess with it.
Andrea, Dre as I call her, was my big crush in high school. I loved this girl. So cute and sweet. She has a twin sister, who I called Dream Girl, who is rad too, but I was more up on Dre than 'Dream Girl'. Dre and I went to senior prom together. I couldn't be happier with that. It was a good time.

Anyways, she now resides in the Dallas area, though I have yet to hang with her since she moved down here. It will be fun. Will my more than friends feelings come back? No, probably not. I don't think we are good for each other. I don't think anyone is good for me, so that is a bad excuse. It will be great to see her. It will be like being in Batavia (hometown), but we will be in Dallas.

Reason # 3
I need to get out of this town. I'm sick of this place and I think it is healthy to head out on the open road and leave this town in the dust. Of course I will be back here in my area that night or morning. It is just nice to get a break from everything. I will have to think and also listen to the new Moz album I picked up today on my lunch break.
